o commemorate World Pulses Day, a programme was conducted at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara, by the Bhoomithrasena Club on 10.02.2025, Monday. The theme for this year was "Pulses: Bringing diversity to agrifood systems”. Dr. Akhil M, faculty at the Dept. of Botany and Biotechnology was the resource person for the event. He highlighted the nutritional and environmental benefits of pulses, emphasizing their role in food security and sustainable agriculture. He also discussed the importance of promoting pulse cultivation to enhance soil health and reduce the carbon footprint of food production. Bhoomithrasena member Ms. Nitha summarised the day's events and shared the vote of thanks. All members of the club actively participated in the event, making it a success
