Rev. Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian was selected as the new bishop of the Central Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI) and as the new Manager of the college, in January 2021 after the incumbent Bishop Rt. Rev. Thomas K. Oommen retired in November 2019. He graduated from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry with a Degree in Mathematics and B.Ed from Peet Memorial College, Mavelikkara
He holds a degree in Theology from the Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, and a doctorate from the Theological Seminary, New York.
He was ordained a deacon on April 20, 1988, and entered the ministry and was promoted to Presbyter on January 20, 1989.
Achen started his career as a missionary in Andhra Mission and served in the parishes of Kumbalampoika, New York, Kanjikuzhi Ascension, Mooledam, Mavelikkara and Kuzhikkala.
