Report on ‘Curiosity: The Secret Ingredient of Every Great Career’

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Bishop Moore College, Mavelikaraorganised a motivational session about ‘Curiosity: The Secret Ingredient of Every Great Career’ on 5th November 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in the college auditorium.

The programme was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Ranjith Mathew Abraham, Principal of Bishop Moore College. The event began with welcome address by Mrs. Linda E Jacob, Placement Coordinator. Mr. Rishiraj Singh IPS, Former DGP, Kerala, delivered the keynote address, focusing on the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence (AI)and Sports in shaping modern careers. His insightful address inspired students to develop curiosity, discipline, and adaptability in an ever-evolving world.

Prof. (Dr.) Anne Angeline Abraham, Vice Principal and Dr. Lynnette Joseph, IQAC Coordinator addressed the audience with their felicitations. The session was graced by Mrs. Sreeja Nair, Director and Principal, Balaji IAS Academy and Mr. Sreeraj M, Director, Balaji IAS Academy, whose presence added significance to the event. Prof. L Vijayan, Retired Professor, University College, Trivandrum, and Faculty, Balaji IAS Academy, introduced the academy and its vision of guiding civil service aspirants.

Dr. Saji Samuel, Assistant Professor of Malayalam, engaged the students with an interactive pre-session activity, while Mr. Abhinav Vijay, student of S3 BA Malayalamentertained the audience with a melodious song before the formal programme began. The event was anchored by Mrs. Asha Mariam Thomas, Assistant Professor of Commerce. The programme also received media coverage by I 4 U Media and Kithu Media. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Rahul Jacob Kuruvila (Placement Coordinator) at 12.30pm

A total of 309 students attended the Programme. The session proved to be an inspiring and insightful experience, motivating students to cultivate curiosity, embrace innovation, and pursue their career goals with confidence.
