The NSS Unit (No: 41A&B) of Bishop Moore College Mavelikara, in association with the Thunder Club, organized a College-Level Malayalam Elocution Competition on the topic "ലഹരി: സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെ കവർന്നെടുക്കുന്ന അടിമത്തം" advocating the message "ലഹരിരഹിത നാളേയ്ക്കായി നമുക്കിന്നേ ശബ്ദമുയർത്താം" on September 14 at 12:45 PM in the Seminar Hall,. Conducted in the presence of the College Vice-Principal, NSS Program Officers, NSS volunteers and students from various academic departments, the event also hosted officers from the Civil Excise Department, with Sri Jayakrishnan G, Preventive Officer from the Excise Range Office, Mavelikara, addressing the gathering on substance abuse prevention. Assistant Professor Rekha K from the Department of Malayalam served as the judge for the competition. During the contest, where participants were allotted 5 minutes each to express their views, Aswathy Suku (B.Com) won the first prize, Annviya Sara Santhosh (B. Sc Botany & Biotechnology) secured the second prize and Abel Reji (M.A English) took third prize, successfully concluding an impactful program aimed at fostering a drug-free campus community.
