The Department of Physical Education of the college was started in 1964. The College provides ample facilities for athletics, major games, and combat sports. It also has a well-managed health club. Bishop Moore College stands on top in sports achievements among the Colleges in the University. We are conducting All Kerala Tournaments in Basketball [men & women].

Infrastructure Facilities:

College has sports facilities for outdoor games and indoor games, basket ball, volley ball, ball badminton, judo, wrestling, shuttle badminton,soft ball, and athletics. The college has

• Basket Ball Court
• Volley Ball Court
• Ball Badminton Court

The stadium is given for public sports, games and tournaments.One Associate Professor and One Assistant Professor in Physical Education trains students. ·The college hosts Inter-Collegiate Competitions frequently.  Residential facility is made available for sports students . 

Fitness Centre, Weight training Equipments, Judo mats (32 No.s), are made available for sports students as well as other students and staff. 

The College has a Sports Council of Kerala recognised sports hostel and coach for the women’s basketball team.  

Two faculty members (one Associate Professor and an Assistant Professor) in the Physical Education Department provide adequate training for students to participate in competitions. The College has produced International players in soft ball and is among the few institutions promoting soft ball.

Sports students are provided with food and accommodation. Student Aid funds are utilized to help participants to meet the travel/occasional expenses.Department wise sports and March past competitions are conducted every year.
