Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), is constituted in the institution as per UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulation, 2015(DO.No. F 91-3/2014(GS) Pt.1 -14th May, 2019). Constitution of Internal Complaints Committee under Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is mandatory. Every employer of a workplace shall, by an order in writing, constitute a committee to be known as the ‘Internal Complaints Committee’.

‘Sexual Harassment’ includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behaviour (whether directly or by implication) namely-

i) physical contact or advances or

ii) a demand or request for sexual favours or

iii) making sexually coloured remarks or

iv) showing pornography

v) any other physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.

Any aggrieved woman may make a complaint of sexual harassment at workplace to the ICC, within a period of three months from the date of incident and in case of a series of incidents, within a period of three months from the date of last incident. Complaints must be made in writing.

Identity and address of the aggrieved woman, respondent and witnesses,any information related to conciliation and inquiry proceedings, contents of the complaints made under section 9, recommendations of the Internal Committee and the action taken by the employer under the provision of the Act {notwithstanding anything contained in the Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005)} shall not be published, communicated or made known to the public, press or media in any manner.

Complaints can be made by the aggrieved woman by sending mail in the e-mail ID provided or dropping a written complaint in the drop box provided in the College Administrative Block.
