As part of the extension activities of the Department of Economics, a quiz competition was organized for the high school students of Pope Pius XI Higher Secondary School, Kattanam, based on the occasion of Children's Day. The program was inaugurated by the school’s HM, Mr. Sabu, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering intellectual growth among students.

The event saw an overwhelming response, with 28 teams participating in the preliminary round. The first prize, a cash award of ₹1000, was won by Rejith Unnithan and Ahhineesh Sreekumar of Class 9. The second prize, a cash award of ₹750, was secured by Niranjana A and Nila G of Class 8. The third prize, a cash award of ₹500, went to Kevin Siju Jacob and Stephen G Varghese of Class 9.
