The KSHEC Erudite Scholar in Residence programme was organised by the Department of Physics during 10-12 July 2023. Prof. Pulickel M. Ajayan, Rice University, USA inaugurated the programme on 10 July 2023 at 10.00 am at Bishop Moore College. He spoke on the the beauty of science, the impact of science and technology on society and the need to be aspirational in scientific research. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Ranjith Mathew Abraham, the Principal of the College. Prof. M.R. Anantharaman (CUSAT), Prof. Shaijumon M M (IISER Trivandrum) and Dr. Anne Angeline Abraham (Vice-Principal) offered felicitations. Dr. D.Sajan (Head of the Department) delivered welcome address and Dr. Lynnette Joseph (IQAC Coordinator) proposed the vote of thanks. Following the inaugural meeting Prof. M . Pulickel Ajayan delivered the public lecture on the topic "Materials Science at the Nanoscale: From Nanotubes to 2D structures". Prof. Pulickel M. Ajayan will be delivering lectures at Christian College Chengannur, Cochin University of Science and Technology and MG University Kottayam as part of this programme
