Brief report of “OZONE DAY QUIZ” 15th SEPTEMBER 2023

Department of Chemistry in association with Academy of Chemistry Teachers (ACT) and Institution Innovation Council (IIC) organised an interdepartmental quiz competition on the topic “OZONE DAY” on 15th September 2023 at 10 am at Salle Visualle Room of the college. Twenty teams each of two members from various departments participated in the competition. Objectives To create awareness among students regarding the causes of ozone layer depletion, the effects and the current scenario of ozone layer in the atmosphere. To motivate the students to take steps in protecting the ozone To create awareness among students about various leaders and various protocols in the world in the area of ozone layer protection movement. To motivate students to take up leadership in organizing and conducting variety programmes in the college Outcomes Students got an idea about the state of art of ozone layer in the environment Helped in developing scientific temper and leadership quality in students The questions emphasized the significance of environmental literacy and inspired students to become environmentally conscious citizens Winners
